Replenishment
AI-powered smart inventory replenishment and purchase recommendations
How it works
Demand signal processing
Pulls the latest forecast from the forecasting module and adjusts for upcoming promotions, known supply disruptions, and minimum order quantities per supplier.
Stock coverage analysis
Calculates days-of-supply for every SKU: current stock ÷ forecasted daily demand. Items below safety stock threshold (configurable per category) are flagged for reorder.
Supplier optimization
For products with multiple suppliers (393 out of 1,000 in a typical retail chain), the system compares unit costs, lead times, and reliability scores to recommend the best source.
Order generation
Produces a ready-to-send purchase order grouped by supplier, with suggested quantities that balance stockout risk against overstock risk. Includes a margin-weighted priority score for each line.
Under the Hood
lead_time × daily_demand + safety_stock. Dynamically adjusts based on forecast confidence and supplier lead time reliability.
Balances holding costs vs ordering costs to minimize total inventory expense. Factors in MOQ constraints from suppliers.
AI adjusts order timing and quantity based on upcoming seasonality. Pre-orders high-margin items before peak demand hits.
Real-World Example
Real example
Mineral supplement had only 25 days of supply left with a 48% margin. The system generated an urgent purchase recommendation before it went out of stock — a high-margin product at risk of stockout.
